WotLK - Issue 1
12/02/2008 01:56 PM by Valiora.

As we approach the third week since the release of Wrath of the Lich King, we here in Pantheon find ourselves leading the way to end game once more. Already, we have defeated the Onyx Guardian, lay to rest once more the Lich lieutenant, and quenched the indomitable magic’s of the dragonflight by felling the great Azure. With the fall of Sartharion, Kel’Thuzad, and Malygos, Pantheon has already defeated the game in its current edition; all that remains is to leave some drakes alive as we continue to defeat Sartharion.

Pantheon will continue to lead the server by progressing alt characters to explore the same content, while awaiting the addition of new areas to explore.

Congratulations to every member of this guild, without whom excellence would not be the norm.

Week in Review
10/21/2008 06:16 AM by Valiora.

Another raiding week has come to an end, and a busy week it has been. We've witnessed the downing of Kil'jaeden, the effects of a server gone mad with restarts and crashes, and the implementation of achievements.

Kil'jaeden put up quite a fight, as should be expected; but in the end, he too bowed to the might of Pantheon. Though it took an extended raid, Pantheon became the first guild on Steamwheedle Cartel to lay him to rest. All said, Pantheon now ranks amongst the top 500 guilds in the world for World of Warcraft. Great job to everyone who made it happen.

Are you ready?
10/10/2008 06:16 PM by Valiora.

Pantheon has faced many challenges, from the ghostly halls of Karazhan to the chilling wrath of Kil'jaeden. Now, we face our greatest challenge to date... a raiding break. With the much anticipated 3.0.x patch due Tuesday, many have become anxious, awaiting the return to raiding. New challenges await us as we will learn to accomplish defeating the very same bosses with a whole new approach. We will further this challenge by beginning the raid on the night of the patch, with mods going haywire, and people wondering what this new talent does. May the gods have mercy on our keyboards.

With the ushering in of this new era, we are saying goodbye to familiar faces. No longer will we be able to aquire the elusive Amani War Bear in Zul'Aman. They have moved into the realm of the untouchables. More importantly, Pantheon loses a dedicated leader as Bayleron steps down from the position of Guild Master, and in fact, from the position of Alerian Knight altogether. While we will share in the loss of a wonderful leader, raider, and person all around, we should all welcome Shaorin as our new leader, who will take us into the trials and tribulations ahead with new game content. More new faces will soon join the officer ranks, and with these new faces will come new perspectives which will continue to keep Pantheon fresh and ahead of all others.

I, for one, am looking forward to the upcoming challenges, and anticipate that we continue to face them as strongly as ever. Soon, we will be the first guild on this server to defeat Kil'Jaeden, and the most prepared to face the challenges of the upcoming expansion. Are you ready?

Pantheon Stumbles Upon Corpse of M'uru!
08/22/2008 05:59 PM by Tiluvar.

So M'uru just happens to be standing on a chair, attempting to kill a spider on the ceiling during Pantheon's nightly Sunwell dance party when Ryva, dancing like only a drunken Paladin can - limbs flailing everywhere - stumbles hisher way into Muru's room, topples the chair backwards and knocks M'uru to the ground, rendering him unconcious.

Momments later, the party makes it's way into the room and, mistaking it for a pinata, proceeds to beat on his comatose corpse until epics pop out. I've thought long and hard and in my mind that is the most likely explanation for this screenshot:

It was either that, or Muru died of exhaustion. Those are really the only plausible explanations. I mean come on now, I've seen you on your alts, I've watched you stand in Death & Decay after attempting to misdirect with your face. You're not fooling me. You don't have to keep sending me "screenshots" to justify my lonely nights in Ironforge while you party the night away. I'm not mad, really. I like hopping from square to square in Ironforge trying not to touch the sides for several hours.

..I'm just joking I don't really do that.. uhh..

So anyways,

Muru is dead, Kil'Jaeden is up next and there's no signs of slowdown. One of my biggest gripes with WoW is how flakey players can be sometimes in regards to wiping. Wah I wiped and have to run 10 feet, I quit. Wah I wiped and have to repair, I quit, and so on. So believe me when I say that I am quite proud of you guys for sticking to it, and getting Muru down, it makes me proud to be a member of the guild, and eager to see where the expansion will take us.

Keep up the good work everyone, you are all doing an amazing job.

(except Mos)

The Darkened Naaru
08/05/2008 07:29 PM by Tiluvar.

I suppose I should make a couple of things clear. I don't really raid; so when I inevitabely say something that doesn't even make sense, blame me, not the raiders. I'm basically just giving my own perspective on what's going on in the guild's raiding scene from miles away, which probably makes me at least as reliable as the mainstream media.

Consider me the Fox news of guild updates *shifty eyes*

I suppose we could get one of them to write this, but despite popular belief, we didn't stop raiding when DramAndomin left, and a busy raid schedule doesn't leave much time to blab on and on for the news page.

Anyways, back to progress..

Above we can see what appears to be a mob of some kind, people tell me it means we're making fantastic progress on M'uru but I'm pretty sure Ryva just photoshopped a picture of that first boss in Arcatraz, and all this talk of "raiding" is just guild parties in Sunwell that I'm not invited to.

More seriously though, M'uru is no joke, but the dedication of the Pantheon playerbase is prevailing. I suspect to be able to update this again soon, when all that remains is Kil'Jaeden. Everyone is doing a fantastic job bringing their best play to an encounter when by all rights insanity should have set it already.

You all are doing an old Dwarf proud. Your success gives me reason to stumble around Stormwind with my Pantheon tag, acting like a big shot, and I for one, appreciate it greatly!
